    Grooming Release Form

  • We love our customers, and we love what we do! In an effort to have good communication, and reasonable expectations for each other, please read the following information before signing. We welcome any questions you might have about our policies. Our goal is to build a long-term relationship with you and your pet(s), so we want to start off on the right foot.

Aussie Pet Mobile ATX & Texas State Law requires your pet(s) to have current rabies vaccination. By signing this form, owners verify their pet(s) are current on their Rabies vaccination and that the Rabies certificate is available for inspection.

    COMPANY POLICIES

    • Our main priority is SAFETY and COMFORT. We reserve the right to refuse grooming any animal that may be a threat to itself or any person.
    • For payment, we accept cash, checks made out to Aussie Pet Mobile, and all major credit cards. Cash drawers are not kept inside our mobile salons, so exact change is appreciated for cash payments.
    • Initial quotes are estimates only – fees may be adjusted if inaccurate information was provided at intake.
    • “Appointment times” are a BEST ESTIMATE of arrival time based on that day’s schedule. Traffic, pet behavior, weather and other factors outside our control may cause your groomer to arrive ahead or behind our estimation. We will communicate via text 30 minutes prior to arrival on the appointment day to keep you updated.
    • Nails can only be safely trimmed a certain amount to avoid cutting the quick, which consists of a blood artery and nerve. Overgrown nails cannot be shortened to your desired length. Regular nail trimming will cause the quick to recede from the end. Short quicks are the preferred length for the dog’s well-being.
    • We will not knowingly take pets with ticks or fleas into the Pet Mobile unless previously discussed. If your groomer discovers fleas or ticks during the groom, you will be charged $15 for flea/tick shampoo plus a $25 van fumigation fee. These charges are in addition to the 15-Step Spa groom and any other services provided.
    • We do not express anal glands. We recommend this only be performed by a veterinarian.
    • We do not refund groom fees. If you are not happy with your pet’s groom, please let us know within 48 hours and allow us to make it right.
    • Rejected payments or failure to pay all charges due may result in additional fees.
    • Tips are always appreciated but never expected and at your discretion. If a groomer does a good job and/or goes beyond your expectations, then a tip of 10-20% is acceptable.
    • Cancellations: Our cancellation policy is a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. This allows us time to fill our groomer’s schedule, so they don’t lose commission. If two appointments are cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice we will require a credit card on file, and $50 cancellation charge be paid to book another appointment.

    Matted Pets

Matting on pets is considered a health issue because it restricts blood flow to the skin and hinders the health of the skin and coat. Fleas, ticks, parasites, and debris may be lurking in a matted coat which can cause skin infections. Sometimes coats don’t look or feel matted at first glance, but they can be matted in the undercoat, close to the skin, where you can’t see them.

De-matting can be uncomfortable for pets. Most pets will not tolerate the pulling on their skin from brushing out matting for more than 10 minutes. A full shave is often the kindest thing you can do for your pet as it reduces pain and stress. Shaving is recommended if the matting cannot be brushed out within 10 minutes of if the pet reacts negatively to de-matting via brushing.

    • If your pet cannot tolerate brushing out mats on the body, your pet will not tolerate de‐matting of the face. Statements by our team that we will try to save hair on the face, tail and ears are not promises we’ll be able to.
    • Matting that is close to the skin creates risk, requires extra time, and often dulls our tools. Therefore, if the matting is severe, your groomer may assess an additional fee of $15 per 15 minutes of de-matting.
    • Shaving is done to start a healthy return of the coat and skin. The appearance is not permanent—your pet’s skin will return in a healthier state, and the hair will grow back.
    • Shaving a matted pet may expose existing health conditions that could not be seen under the coat such as scabs, poor skin health, open sores and/or parasites.
    • Matting prevents the groomer from seeing skin tags and these can be nicked during the shave.
    • Shaving can cause post‐groom irritations, especially in sensitive areas. It is important to keep your pet from licking, chewing, or scratching after grooming so tender spots are not further irritated.

Hold Harmless Agreement: I hereby release Aussie Pet Mobile ATX from any responsibility of accidents, parasites, medical problems, or other problems that may be uncovered while the grooming service is being performed. I hold harmless Aussie Pet Mobile ATX from any damage, loss, or claim arising from any condition of the undersigned pet, either known or unknown.

I have read and accept this release for all future grooming appointments. I agree to pay the full amount due for services rendered at the completion of the service. If you would like a copy of this release for your records, please ask.
